Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her ability to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first time she tried out, she was ranked second for 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school and signed a professional deal with the company that makes sports Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She set the Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. She became the youngest world champion of 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 beating her longtime Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently within the top three throughout her competitions in the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
