Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics early on discovering her ability to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks following the first time she tried out. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. Felix was also the youngest participant in the 200 meters during the World Championships in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal time and time again in 2007 beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently at the top of the podium in her various competitions in the Olympics that took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
